How to become a superhero

Are you bored of everyday mundane life? Are you envious about those who can fly on the sky, run faster than light speed, and, most importantly, save the day and win the applause of your people (and perhaps a romantic relationship with a gorgeous lady or gentleman)? Are you willing to become the incarnation of justice? If so, you came to the right place. Here provides several ways to make you become a superhero, ultimately your Facebook status would be “The only reason I didn't call back is because I’m too busy, I got a world to save.”

No.1 I’m rich I’m rich I’m so rich. Become a superhero? Easy!

Although some said money isn’t everything, this isn’t true when it pertain to becoming superhero. Energy giant of Gotham City, Bruce Wayne and Arms merchant, Tony Stock are great examples. You don’t have to have to be “special” (besides you are ultra-rich) and you don’t even have to be smart (above average IQ is enough), the only thing you need to become a superhero is your astonishing wealth.

The benefit becoming a superhero through this approach is you can do whatever you like. If you like to show off, you could announce to the entire world about your identity (of course you can also keep low and listen to people gossip about you during the charity party you hold). In fact, you can even contradict your government when they demand you to turn your high-tech suits to them.

Villain too powerful to handle? Not a problem, just stuck into the prolong battle and your fortune will eventually wear them out.

No.2 Look down on nerd? They are the most dangerous men on earth
Wealth is no the only way to become a superhero. There is this kind of people, using their incredible intelligence  raise from nobody to superhero. This kind of people, is technically classified as “nerd”. While others are studying, they are studying harder, while others are entertaining, they are studying even harder, and while others are dating, ummmm, they are lonely. If you met the attributes above, congratulations,  you have a great possibility to become a superhero.
What you need to do is find some unidentified space ray and expose yourself under it, or to lure some insects to bite on you. You may struggle a few days (experience disfiguration, for instance), but pain is temporary, after that you will gain your super power.

No. 3 Super power? That’s for earthmen

“Only earth losers are thinking about gaining super powers, we noble, dignified and distinguished people from Kal-El don’t need that. Though we can fly, we are impenetrable  we have eye-lasers, wer don’t realize they are super powers. In fact, the only thing we use for our eye-lasers is barbecue ” Thus said superman in his old age autobiography, The man form Kal-El, the life of a over-stressed superhero.

Just like the beggar in Switzerland is more wealthier than a “middle class” in Ethiopia, a loser from Kal-El can be a hero on earth. Therefore you don’t need wealth, you don’t need intelligence  you only need to be born at the right place. What, you are Thor? The Republic of Earth welcome you, but we cannot give you privileges,  please pass the inspection of Men in Black first.
在《超人:钢铁之躯》里,超人没有了红内裤,不过这不影响超人成为非人类超级英雄的代表。

No. 4 The rise of the gigantic normal men

What if you don’t met any conditions above? What if you are just a miserable office worker exploit by your employer and have no holiday at weekend? Don’t worry, you still have chance to become a superhero. What you need is a skill that can make you distinguish from others.

But attention, when I said skill, it can be anything, no matter how useless it seem to you or others. Perhaps your body is more flexible than the Yoga master as catwomen, or your vision can replace microscope as Hawk Eyes, or you are just simply so hilarious and ridiculous as the Kick-Asses.

So don’t be frustrated when your talent seem to be so useless, when some weirdo whose only talent is make his car light green (Green Hornet) can save the world, why can’t you?

How to meditate

Introductory

Meditation isn’t exclusive to any religion; it’s a method of going deep into the natural state of self-awareness. Freeing oneself from minds, thoughts and concepts and rediscovering the self-awareness will be beneficial for one to understand the question “who I am?” and achieve an inner peace. This is the ultimate purpose of meditation, not to mention there are tremendous secular benefits it can bring such as relieving stresses, adjusting emotions and restoring the proper function of body, both mentally and physically.
The theory of meditation is human body, like everything in this world, is an energy field, it can sense, absorb and diffuse even a slight energy, whether it’s from itself or other energy field. To give some proofs, one can sense others whether he/she is at rage or amiable without the mind’s analytical participation (when you walk through someone, if you have enough concentration and awareness, you can sense his/her mood), one can also affect by emotions from other things and people (an orchestra, a movie or a people) and engender a resonance. When the energies function harmoniously, one can feel the inner ecstasy (distinguished from happiness) and peace, but when it disordered by mental or environmental distractions, it will result in misfortunes.
The preliminary goal for meditation is to restore the harmony in your energy field, but the ultimate purpose, as stated before, is to realize the true noumenon (thing-in-itself) and develop a constant self-awareness to this noumenon

Preparation
To meditate, you will need:
1.      Comfortable clothing and some blankets
2.      A quiet and relaxing environment
3.      Concentration
4.      Perseverance

Steps:
1.      Wear your comfortable clothing
2.      Find a quiet and relaxing environment where you wouldn’t be distracted and disturbed
3.      Persist to meditate every day.
4.      Lay out a blanket on the place for meditation, and sit down in whichever posture you are comfortable, but remember to sit up straight (the typical posture is sit with your leg crossed, lotus-style, but it’s not necessary). Bare-foot is recommended, because it can increase the contact with environment. Put the blankets on your legs if you feel cold. Put your hands on your knees, palms up and close your eyes, slightly incline your forehead.
5.      Begin with a deep breathe, inhale as deeply as you can, until you can feel the air in your chest, and exhale gently, like all the moods that made you uncomfortable will be exhaled out of you with the air.
6.      Focus on something. It can be your breathe, your heart beating or even some abstract position in the air, as long as it can concentrate your conscious.
7.      Gradually shift your concentration until you are not concentrating on anything, and you are not thinking anything. Make yourself totally clear, and no thoughts and emotions are troubling you.
                                                                                                                   Lotus-style
8.      Examine yourself and see if you can feel the internal emptiness and external environment (such as the air, try to feel its temperature and moisture). If you feel your sensitivity increase astonishingly, congratulations, you have successfully entered the state of meditation.
9.      Preserve this state, until you feel it’s the proper time to end the meditation.

Tips:
1.      Never force yourself on concentration and the shift of concentration, every action should be natural. If you found yourself hard to do so, wait to another day, but always remember to try it every day.
2.      If you feel there are thoughts and emotions strike into your mind, don’t oppose it, let it be and repeat step 6 and 7.
3.      Feeling asleep during meditation for a starter is normal and beneficial, because all of your energies are consumed by daily trifles (the thoughts and emotions made you struggle), when this occurred, just naturally fall in sleep. Clearing yourself is a long process, it doesn’t need to rush.
4.      When you are proficient in meditation, the environment will not restrain you, you can get deep into this state wherever and whenever, even when you are doing something else.

Blogs Browsing

This is a blog about china from a western point of view, the blogger lived in Xi’an, China for three and a half years. Xi’an used to be 13 dynasties capital, thus preserved a typical Chinese culture. The blogger’s view is really interesting to a Chinese, its reflection both help me understand Chinese and western culture more. The picture on home page caught my eyes; it’s the blogger standing before a lake under snow mountains in some plateau. The extensity and boundlessness suddenly welled up my resonance. I suppose he would be someone never refrained by anything. The whole interface is clean and concise, in a delicate position----beyond it will be too much, beneath it would be too less. His use of visual elements, especially videos, really enriches his content, and beneficial for foreigners to understand what China really is.

This blog is about Zen. Zen is a unique genre of Buddhism originated from China. It abandoned ascetical life and appeal natural life to enlightenment. As same as Buddhism, it believes in constant contemplation and introspection, all matters come from one and all matter can only solve by oneself. The reason Zen attract me is that it never try to complicate the truth which supposed to be plain and simple and it provide a natural and magnanimous approach. The blogger, interestingly, was an American converted Buddhism. He tried to convert many Buddhism ideas to western thinking model, though distorted occasionally. His interface is concise, just as the essence of Zen, but has profound and inspiring content. He has the sense of design that every single picture he chose is perfectly fit to the content, and makes it contemplative.

This is a blog about Murakami Haruki, my favorite author. It’s easy to see from his name he is Japanese. He authentically inherited the melancholy fundamental key from Tale of Genji. It’s the bewildered, void melancholy though slight enough but you can’t ignore it. All of his books has a common theme, seeking. The blog’s background music makes you feel dreamy and unreal, and the combination of objects with boldly contrary color makes the entire blog artistic; a sense of Jazz pervades the blog. The blog include introductions and book review; it’s lots of fun for me to read others understanding of Murakami.
